Arrival of Civil Air Patrol cadets and adults

11:30 a.m.
Early arrival of U.S. Army Golden Knights, air show performers, general aviation aircraft, military aircraft and balloon pilots.

5 p.m.
Supper with Air Show Pilots Fundraiser– Meet, greet and eat with the air show performers, watch, say “thank you” to Nebraska Airfest sponsors and see a special kick-off jump by U.S. Army Golden Knights. Proceeds support the continuation of Nebraska Airfest, a 501(c)3 non-profit.

Entertainment at the Viaero Great American Comedy Festival.

Gates open to public.
Children and 15 under free with adult pass. Adult pass: $15 for weekend pre-sale or $10/day at the gate. Click here to purchase tickets.

Rides on P-51 and B-25 begin.

7-11 a.m.
Nebraska State Fly-in and pancake breakfast. Sponsored by EAA Chapter 918.
Location: North ramp and north hangars. $5/person. (P.I.C. eats FREE). Buy tickets at the door.

7-11 a.m.
Young Eagle rides sponsored by EAA Chapter 918 and other Nebraska EAA chapters.
Free rides to children ages 8-17. Sign up at the north hangars. Come early – limited availability.

8 a.m.
Opening remarks, presentation of colors and military tribute by VFW Post 1644 and American Legion Riders Post 16.
Location: South ramp

8-11 a.m.
Aviation Youth Activities sponsored by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
Free aviation activities for children 10 and younger. School teachers invited also.

9 a.m.
Free Seminar – Why Aerobatics? David Moll, career pilot and president of the Midwest Aerobatic Club, tells about the fun and safety of aerobatic flying.
Location: Education building

9 a.m.
Paid adult rides and introductory flights begin.
Prices vary. Purchase rides at the north ramp, north hangar.

10 a.m.
Free Seminar – Weather Wise: Thunderstorms by Wings and FAA Safety Team instructor Greg Finzen.
Location: Education building

11 a.m.
TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTION: Norfolk Regional Airport closes for air show.

11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Air show featuring U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, WWII dogfight, full-scale and RC aerobatic performances and more to dazzle and amaze! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and cameras… sit back, look up and enjoy the show.

2 p.m.
Airport opens for incoming and outgoing traffic.

2 p.m.
Free Seminar – Nebraska’s Fatal Air Crashes of World War II by author Jerry Penry.
Location: Education building

3 p.m.
Free Seminar – Learn to fly: University of Nebraska-Omaha’s Aviation Institute

3:45 p.m.
Free Seminar – Learn to fix airplanes: Western Nebraska Community College Aviation Maintenance
